About Us
Founded in 2010, Reflections Bereavement Services is a unique innovative business designed to meet the needs of families during bereavement and their time of loss. Monique Patterson is an accomplished event planner with over 20 years of experience in event planning and project management. She is both the founder and owner of this company, which is a subsidiary of Monique’s Events. Ms. Patterson is a Certified Funeral Celebrant - Life Tribute Specialist, receiving her training and certification through the Insight Institute. Her training and area of expertise has been in the specific areas of conducting and planning bereavement events for families who wish to have a personalized and unique bereavement service experience. Monique’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Science degree in Organizational Management, Associates of Art degree in Communication and a Certification in Human Resources Management.
As an experienced professional in the bereavement industry, Monique noticed a need for additional specialized services to assist families beyond the funeral home. Her research identified specific support needed outside of the traditional realm of funeral planning. This service, referred to as Bereavement Planning, includes working as a liaison with funeral directors and traditional funeral vendors, and also acting as a collaborator with other service providers and interested parties to meet the needs and wants of families. Research findings discovered that unless a person is a funeral professional, they are likely inexperienced when it comes to bereavement planning which consists of aspects of obituary writing, budgeting, and service planning-all while experiencing the grief of loss and other emotions surrounding the death of a loved one. This bereavement planning service is designed to ease the stress and lighten the load that comes along with this experience. Reflections Bereavement Services strives to build positive relationships with other funeral professionals, families and communities to build camaraderie, trust and encouragement for all persons being served by the industry. Our goal is to create an event that is affordable, emotionally comfortable, and provides a sense of pride and dignity for the deceased, their family and loved ones.
Reflections Bereavement Services is based in Southwest Ohio and has planned and assisted with Bereavement planning services both nationally and locally. The team at Reflections Bereavement Services is committed to meeting and exceeding the needs of clients with professionalism, customer service excellence, compassion, dignity and respect for the deceased.
